Under my alter ego Lux Nautilus I create interactive work, spatial installations, and visuals for performances. During my Graphic Design studies, I discovered a love for generative design, an intuitive way of creating in which randomness and repetition play a major role. It is a creative process that closely aligns with the themes that recur in my work: consciousness, evolution, time, and complex systems. My work is often speculative in nature and never places humans at the center of attention. Not as individuals, but as part of a larger system.
Although I work primarily digitally, I avoid a high-tech aesthetic. I draw inspiration from natural mechanisms and prefer to show organic forms based on natural mechanisms. I strive to develop an immersive experience in which the viewer's awareness of time and space disappears. This almost always means an environment in which light, audio, and video images are connected and respond to each other.
My theatrical background is reflected in language, performance, suspense, and the deliberate manipulation of the visitor experience.
