PRESENCE
PRESENCE is an interactive installation and performance centred around a tea ceremony, made in collaboration
with artist and tea maker Samm Lewis. It was presented during Warenhuis Festival, may ‘26.
Enclosed by double layers of transparent fabric onto which images are projected, visitors drink tea and are guided, through ritual, poetry and interaction, from the personal to the ecological. PRESENCE explores the invisible entanglement of all living beings, using tea as a bridge to the plant world.
Projected visuals are both digital and analogue; audio and digital images are controlled by hand gesture. The technology behind them remains hidden.
